Nice to see you! Academia can be used not only as your handbook or reference for comparison but also as a platform to share knowledge online. This wiki runs on Wikka (version n/a) that is relatively outdated but so simply to edit, organize and look for.
Some features
  • A fast, fully redesigned editor toolbar
  • Doubleclick to quickly edit
  • HTML can be embedded in pages in a safe manner
  • Support for automatically parsed links (->link contents easily)
  • Native support for mindmaps.

Getting started

Double-click on this page or click on the Edit link in the page footer to get started. If you are not sure how a wiki works, you can check out the Wikka formatting guide and play in the SandBox. You can switch to a different language by clicking menu on the top right corner (currently I can understand only those languages, if there're other mods who can communicate well in other languages, we'll expand it).
By replacing fear of the unknown with curiosity we open ourselves up to an infinite stream of possibility. We can let fear rule our lives or we can become childlike with curiosity, pushing our boundaries, leaping out of our comfort zones, and accepting what life puts before us.
Alan Watts

Studying at University is not easy. Some people may have reached a stage in their life where they have the time and opportunity to study for intellectual and personal satisfaction but everyone has to make a huge effort to achieve and succeed.

It is even more difficult when you study in a language which isn’t your mother tongue. No one will sound like you expect them to. Native speakers are very fast-speaking in daily life. In addition, writing essays and preparing for presentations requires not only professional proficiency of language skills but also the development of academic skills such as critical thinking, methodologies and a basic understanding of the subject. It will help your confidence gradually grow or make you more and more depressed.
However, living in another country allows you to develop your own views rather than simply accepting those from books or others. Internet and libraries provide incredibly rich source to learn new things.
If you concern about a field or have something you don't understand, share with others. We can resolve problems together or help you save time.
Some tips
  • You can use action toc to make the table of contents
  • Wanna tag or link to other contents? Just write down keyword at the bottom of the page
  • Keywords should be separated by . not _ nor space
  • Use class floatr or >> to make a yellow note on your pages
  • Remember to close your tag/action with the same string (i.e action toc begins with 3 times { and ends with 3 times }, 'yellow notes' begin with >> so it end with >>
  • Don't want format abc? So double-quotes abc
